Good for the price point and if you insist on a canister
I've been shopping around now for over a week on vacuums and this is the third one that's arrived on my doorstep so far after the Electrolux Nimble and the Hoover MultiCyclonic Canister. I wanted to buy the Burgundy version of this vacuum due to the rave reviews and the positive Consumer Reports results, but it was sold out and I was relieved to find the Orchid version in stock--which is the exact same vacuum in a prettier color.
So, I'm specifically looking for a vacuum that's going to do great on my low-pile carpeted stairs, my area rugs, and my upstairs wall to wall, high-pile carpeting. I was willing to spend up to $350 on a vacuum, but of course, would rather spend the least amount available so long as it would still do a very good job at what I needed...

Works well on carpets and wood floors
Cleans like a champ - great suction after many uses. I am curious to see how it will hold up after a few years. The plastic is fairly solid but it is, after all, plastic. The unit that arrived was actually the burgundy machine. Not that I care, but it is definitely not the purple shown in the image. We have both carpeting and wood floors and the machine works fine for both. One drawback - it is LOUD, especially with the cornering nozzle - which has a great design. I like that all of the accessories fit inside of it.

Product took a little while to be delivered. The vac is a little more basic than I anticipated (my fault not the seller's - didn't read the description carefully). Good utility vac - good suction. Hate the plug-in for the carpet brush - not easy to use.
