Quiet- and clean
I have hardwood floors and some rugs. This things works whisper quiet when I need it to. Such as when kids or wife are sleeping. Any other vacuum would wake up the baby. I have had the vacuum almost a year. I have no problems with it. Changing the bag is easy.
Cord rewind is great, it rolls on floor nicely. It is light. So all good things about the vacuum. Only complaint is the accessory storage compartment door will flip open some times. I think the lock on it is kind of loose. The door serves no functional purpose it is just an observation.
I mentioned that I have hardwood floors with rug. So with rug it needs to be on high and it will do a good job of picking up everything.
But if you have carpets you need a carpet vacuum, not this one.

miele is just the best
Hi,
i did a lot of research and we first settled for a Dyson DC23 TurbineHead Canister Vacuum. We took the dyson back the the same day. I thought dyson had really reinvented the vacuum but its more the Science fiction interpretation of a vaccum. everything on the dyson is flimsy and the brush wont go where its supposed to go as it is too high for underneath sofas and cupboards. the dyson is nothing wifes can actually work with. maybe someone who buys at thinkgeek likes that, my wife didnt.
we then settled for the miele ariel and my wife loves it. she said its like vacuuming in a different league. the sucktion power is just awesome...everything else performs to expectations!

INCREDIBLE!!!! Vacuum
I have a hardwood, brick and low profile area rug layout in my house. This vacuum is the best vac. I have ever used - period! I actually enjoy vacuuming because it is quiet, light weight, HEPA filtered, and incredibly effective. Pet hair - no problem. I live in the country, and have a son and multiple pets so dirt is always tracked into the house. This Vacuum handles it all. INCREDIBLE!!!
