make sure it fits your needs
Excellent on bare floors. I'm not recommending it for carpets. This is the smartest bagless design I've seen; I didn't think I'd find a bagless I liked. Moreover, bagless is overrated because bags aren't much of an inconvenience at all. I researched on line and visited all the stores. Bed Bath & Beyond had this vac for the same price as Amazon- plus I could plug it in there and try it out for real.
Picks: Good dirt-collecting design for a bagless. Light weight. Good suction. Clever wand design detaches from the body for reaching awkward areas.
Pans: Cord is a little short. A little weak at the edge where the wall meets the floor.
This thing picks up cheerios and pet hair, paper clips, staples and anything else I don't want my baby to eat off the floor. It is used daily. The carpet brush is capable of picking up tracked-in debris on the large entry rugs and low pile area rugs. IMO it is too light to be effective on thick pile carpets- even on low pile it...

Great vacuum!!!
My wife and I purchased this vacuum mainly because it is lightweight and the reviews stated it doesn't loose suction. After using it for about a month of, it comes through on both fronts. It is easy to maneuver on the stairs, lightweight enough to lift up and down the stairs, and all the while not needing to be emptied often. It has functional features and is less expensive than a Dyson. Overall, a great vacuum and well worth the money.
Very powerful!
I just got this vacuum (from BB&B store because they have a 20%-off coupon = $130 total & I could carry it home instead of waiting for shipping to arrive) & I absolutely love it on my carpets!

It has surprisingly powerful suction for such a compact unit & I even bypassed the Navigator Lift Away (which I planned to get) in favor of this one because I liked how it performed even better than the Lift Away despite its smaller size. It lifts up the nap on my trampled carpets & makes them look new again. This vacuum pulls out so much dirt, dust, hair & fibers from my carpets that my old canister vacuum left behind. The beater brush (which has a button to turn off for use on bare floors) is fantastic.

The dirt cup is large enough capacity for my apt (2 bdrm, no stairs), it empties out easily, & the filter needs only occasional rinsing (every 3 mos of regular use) to maintain its wonderful strong suction. The hose is convertible & comes w/2 attachments which store on the...

great price for Kenmore canister hepa vac bag replacements
After failing to find these hepa vac bag replacements in Home Depot/Lowes type stores, I hopped onto the Internet to see where I can get these besides from Sears. I was pleased to find the replacement bags through an Amazon vendor - and only $6 (free shipping) for 3 of them! These are cloth bags, not paper, which is what I wanted.

MoreQualityLessMoney is a great vendor. They arrived promptly and fit into my Kenmore canister Progressive vacuum cleaner just fine (firmly wiggle the cardboard insert in). I like the large capacity of cloth bags - don't have to change them as often.

Bait & Switch, again
CAUTION, THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH PRODUCT, consider your purchase carefully. After carefully comparing the numerous replacement vacuum bags listed from Amazon.com, trying to select the best quality at the best price, I decided on the "Package of 3 Replacement Kenmore Model 5055 / 50557 / 50558 Alle", listed as "by Kenmore" but also stated from Amazon's web page as "In Stock. Sold by MoreQualityLessMoney and Fulfilled by Amazon." "Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a service we offer sellers that lets them store their products in Amazon's own warehouses, and we directly pack, ship, and provide customer service for these items. "

I ordered a set of 3 replacement bags for Kenmore Intuition 28014 cannister vacuum, according to the product specification (including a photograph of the packaging, Amazon indicated the 3 replacement bags for this particular product number/order were supposed to be made by EnviroCare Technologies. However, when they arrived at my home, they were a...
wonderful!
These are, hands down, the best replacement bags I have purchased for my Kenmore canister vac. The Kenmore branded ones don't hold as much and DO NOT contain pet odors. These are amazing...no scent whatsoever comes thru these bags. Great price too.

I ADORE this vacuum cleaner
I bought this vacuum yesterday because it's rated number one by Consumer Reports (reason enough right there), and because it was on sale at Sears for $479.99, within my $500 budget. Most of yesterday was spent in a vacuuming delirium of joy. Here's why:

It picks up everything -- cat food debris, dust, spider webs, leaf litter, cat fur, everything.

All the buttons -- on/off, motor power, suction power, agitator on/off -- are on the handle. Pile height adjustment with your foot. Fly like a bird from floor to carpet and back!

Has a 27-foot cord, which means if I plug it in the kitchen, I can reach all the way to either end of the house.

Has a power agitator ("Power Mate") for carpets, which you can turn off to vacuum bare floors. Even better, you can pull out of the Power Mate a smaller floor brush that reaches into smaller spaces and crevices.

The wand lengthens easily so you can get spider webs off the ceiling, dust the tops of...

Clean away
I liked the Intuition and it's features. It was bought used so I didn't get a vaccum bag for it or a pamphlet with handy info on it. I was disappointed about that. It cleans with ease. The only point about it is the weight to pull it around and picking up the canister to move it. I'm an old grey mare and I am not as strong as my younger days. It cleans pet hairs with ease and the switching from the floor to carpet is great. All the features are on the handle,so you can change each task in a second. I would recommend this unit.
Quality
I did a lot of research. Most vacuums are made of mostly plastic. This is a quality machine. It is replacing an upright, which I dont like to use because it is so hard on my bad back. This canister does it all with ease. It has just a few scratches, but compared to buying new for over 500 dollars, it is an amazing value. I would buy from this seller again!

Best Shark Navigator Lift Around Pod Vacuum With Extra Attachments - Model NP320 On Sale

The Shark Navigator Lift Away Pod Portable Vacuum is a powerful, premium portable vacuum that never loses suction. It gives you the cleaning power of a full size upright vacuum while still being light enough to carry with ease. With a flexible hose and customized cleaning tools, it can clean and dust place an upright can't.

Mostly Junk: Nice Idea, Poor Implementation
First of all, doesn't it seem strange (and marginally ethical) that many of the positive reviews are authored by Shark "Ambassadors"? Do they receive their units for free and then post (mostly) positive ratings. I wonder...

Regarding my experience: This unit is light and easy to use, but I found it poorly implemented, fragile and not well constructed. By their nature, vacuums see a bit of rough use. The first thing to fail was the cleverly designed power/rotary brush. This is the best attachment and it jammed after a few minutes of use; fixing it required 15 minutes+ of troubleshooting (the manual was marginally helpful) to remove some small debris. This experience repeated itself to the point where it rendered this attachment practically useless (although I reduced my down-time to several minutes per incident as I gained experience and expertise with this issue). Then, with a bit more use, the hose tore off, rendering the entire unit useless. Can not recommend it, feel...

I AM SOOO FRUSTRATED WITH ALL THE B.S.
I JUST FINISHED USING THIS FOR THE SECOND TIME AND I AM PISSED. SPILLED POWDER LAUNDRY DETERGENT IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM
(MAYBE A CUP AMOUNT) AND DUST!! THAT IS ALL THIS LITTLE MACHINE IS GOOD FOR. YES IT'S CUTE AND YES IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT BUT SO WHAT!!
I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE PROMISES THESE VACUUM COMPANIES MAKE. THE COMMERCIAL SHOWED THEM PICKING UP CUE BALLS!!
I HAVE HAD MY NEW LIFT AROUND FOR 3 WEEKS. I HAVE USED THE VACUUM TWO TIMES FOR MAYBE 3 HOURS THE FIRST TIME
AND 1 HR THE SECOND TIME. I ALSO PURCHASED ALL THE EXTRA ATTACHMENTS. I WAS SOO EXCITED AND THRILLED THE FIRST DAY, I VACUUMED
JUST THE DOWNSTAIRS (ALL TRAVERTINE). I LOVED THE EASE OF CARRYING IT AND IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS MENTIONED.
BUT!! PLEASE READ MY OTHER REVIEW FOR THE DESCRIPTION OF MY HOME. I HAVE A PRETTY LARGE FICUS TREE, WHICH DID NOT PICK ANY OF THE LEAVES UP.
I USED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE ATTACHMENTS AND THEN JUST THE HOSE. I ENDED UP...
Perfect for all of the other vacuum needs I have
I have a Dyson. It is "great", whatever. I needed a vacuum that I could easily get cobwebs, dog hair in corners and dust on floor trim, etc. This is really handy. Yes, my Dyson could also do all of that, BUT that means that I'd have to lug the thing around and fight the limited hose and so on. This is a handy vacuum in that I can "drag" it behind or I can throw it over my shoulder and move easily from one task to the next. I am by NO means a good housekeeper, but this vacuum from Shark makes it fun for me and that is half the battle. Oh, and I LOVE the "motorized" brush attachment. It gets the dog hair off of my microfiber and regular fiber sofas with ease. With that, it is FAR superior to my Dyson when I was using it for that task. Right now they are $80 at Costco. I do not use the accessory caddy.

Product Features :

• Never loses suction: Advanced cyclonic technology that separates fine dirt from the air, preventing dirt from clogging the filters and keeping suction power strong over time. From the first use to the last room, you never lose cleaning power.
• Anti-Allergen complete seal technology: Combines with superior HEPA filtration to capture and hold over 99.99% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not back into the air you breathe.
• Ultra-lightweight and portable: Weighing only 6 lbs, it's ultra-lightweight and convenient, ideal for quickly cleaning stairs, upholstery or accessing small, hard to reach areas around your home and car. Goes where your upright can't.
• Suction of an upright: Powerful suction picks up all the dirt you can see, plus removes most of the embedded dirt you can't. Effectively cleans all types of surfaces, from bare floors to area rugs to the thickest of carpets.
• Cleaning tools for versatile cleaning: Powerful tools quickly and easily lift pet hair and other dirt from floor to ceiling and everything in between. Unique on-board removable tool caddy and specially designed shoulder strap make your cleaning easy and convenient.
• Zero maintenance costs: Lifetime washable filters will last the life of your vacuum, with minimal maintenance and zero replacement costs.

Same as the high priced bags
These are the same bags that are sold for more than twice the price elsewhere.

only 12 bags
I have twice purchased this exact ad for vacuum bags "48 Electroux Type C Tank Model Vacuum Cleaner Bags 4 Ply" The title indicates that you'll get 48 bags. The description indicates that you'll get 50 loose bags, and then both orders came with only 12 bags. Same mistake twice, even after I had explained the first time that I had only received 12 instead of 48. For this price, it's comparable to the bags that I can get at my Walmart and CVS stores locally ($6 for a 3 pack). If I had actually received 48 (or 50), then it would have been a great savings. Someone should change the title/description of these bags.
Just a vacuum bag
These seem to work no differently than the bags that came with our Electrolux vacuum. What more can you say about a vacuum bag?

Most powerful, light and versatile upright I've ever owned- LOVE IT!
I bought this in 2010 and it really is what I've been looking for in an upright for years! I come from a Hoover Windtunnel that weighs ~ 23lbs and was killing me. I have carpeted stairs, so wanted a lift-off type upright but the Hoover model is too heavy. Then I saw the Shark infomercial. They always have such clever designs but their cordless vac reviews are so bad, I had to check reviews online before I bought this. They clearly are much better at making plug-in vacs over cordless re-chargeables because this one is a keeper! It makes vacuuming kinda fun :)

Pros:
- light and easy to push, pull and lift!
- all nozzles (except crevice tools) swivel- really easy to maneuver!
- so quiet, no high-pitched hiss at all, just a soft hum
- this thing is only 10 amps and the suction is better than the Hoover's 12 amp motor- unbelievable!
- converts to a light canister- hand held or still on the rolling nozzle base
- comes with lots of attachments (I got...

Shark vs Bissell...the Shark wins!
I purchased this vacuum about 6 mos. ago in search of replacing my Bissell Pet Hair Removal vacuum. I wanted to wait in submitting this review until I had used the Shark for a fair amount of time. I had initially purchased the Bissell Pet Hair vacuum to help me with the carpet and carpeted stairs in my home. We have two dogs, a Min Pin and a yellow Lab, so the dog hair has various sizes and colors. Our house is carpeted almost throughout (except the tiled kitchen and entryway) in a dark forest green carpet. You can imagine how quickly and easily the yellow Lab hair shows on this dark carpet. I found the Bissell to be heavy and almost impossible to deal with on the stairs. The removable attachment hose was always detaching somewhere, while I was trying to use it on the stairs (either the pet attachment from the extension piece, or the extension piece from the flexible hose, or the flexible hose from the sweeper body. Nothing broke, but in pulling the hose up the stairs, something would...
Excellent Suction, Easy to Use!
I bought this vacuum after reading all the reviews. I was going to buy a Dyson, but the cost sent me shopping elsewhere. The vacuum arrived and was easy to put together with just a few clicks, no tools required. This vacuum works magic on pet hair. We have a long haired cat that sheds all over the place. This vacuum is able to suck up all the hair. The attachements also work great for the car, boat, and RV. I would highly recommend this product. We also recieved a free steam mop with our order.

The best vacuum for any money!
I am not one to leave reviews, i normally just read what others say. But right now my friends and neighbors look at me funny when I start talking about my new vacuum because I can't stop with the accolades. I did read reviews on this vacuum, but they do not do it justice, this is a bada$$ piece of machinery. I have medium pyle carpet, and I can turn the brush off and it still pulls at the carpet! When you turn the brush on, it almost feels self propelled as the brush pulls it forward. I caught the end of a scarf(by mistake) and it sucked the entire thing into the hose before the brush shut off- looked like a cartoon it was so fast! with the canister 3/4 full, it still picked up loose cat litter and pet food. My carpet did not look dirty, but the first 5 feet I went back & forth I went over twice filled the canister a quarter of the way. My carpet runners have never been so clean, they look refreshed, newer even. My 20 yr old son commented on how much better our carpet looked and...

AMAZING!
I love this. I am expecting my first baby and have become insane about cleaning. I wanted a new vacuum because the pet hair mine seamed to be leaving on the carpet. I looked at reviews all over. I debated between this and dyson. This was way more affordable so I decided to give it a shot.

I put this together in a flash(pregnant)It seamed a little "cheep" So I was kinda worried about the parts being flimsy. So far they are not, its just very light weight.

I wanted to do a test and see how good it was.(crazy prego mind I vacuumed part of my carpet with my old vacuum. I emptied the content of the old on a paper. Then I vacuumed the same swatch of Capet with my new shark. First thing I noticed was how easy it was for me to maneuver at 38weeks pregnant. Then I dumped the content of this vacuum on the paper to compare what had been lifted. I was amazed.

First the pile of dirt was about 4-5times larger than the pile from my old vacuum...
Difference Between Professional and Navigator Liftaway
Although the differences are subtle, they could be very important to the customer. Nobody really has mentioned the differences, so here we go!

From Vaccum Cleaner Advisor Site:

"The Shark Navigator Lift Away NV350 and the Shark Navigator Lift Away Pro NV356E are similar machines but the two can quickly and easily be differentiated by their color. The NV350 is lavender in color while the NV356E is white and silver. The "Pro" is also a little heavier at about 14 lbs compared to 12.8 lbs for the NV350, and the "Pro" dirt canister is larger with a capacity (to the fill line) of 0.55 gallons while the NV350 dirt canister capacity (to the fill line) is 0.3 gallons. It should be noted that the canisters on both units can actually hold more but the recommended capacity before emptying is as stated above. There are a few other differences as well, such as vacuum dimensions."

Had I known this before, I would have probably gotten this model for the extra...
