The Best Vacuum Yet!
We were fed up with our top-of-the-line Kenmore vacuum, which we bought in the hopes that a more expensive machine would also be more effective than the previous Hoovers and Eurekas that we suffered with. But that expensive monster was a nightmare from day one till the very end...and we decided that it might be better for us to buy a cheaper machine and replace it every year. We got recommendations from friends of ours to try out Bissell vacuum, and reviews on Amazon pointed us to this line of vacuums. We couldn't wait for it to be shipped to us, so we went to Target and found it on sale for $89. Yay!

Came home, took it out of the box, and discovered that the hose had to be attached, which was a bit of a challenge to the men of our household ;) But after that, it was good to go. And boy, does it ever go!!! It sucks stuff right out of the carpet, tends to take out a good bit of lint too, and the dust cup got filled very fast the first couple times we vacuumed our house. I...

Bissell Momentum Bagless Vacuum Model 82G7
We purchased a Bissell Momentum Bagless Vacuum Model 82G7 in June 2008.

After having it for less than 7 months and using it twice a month or so it began to smell terribly of burning plastic that quickly filled the room and blue sparks visible within headlight lens. In addition, the vacuum became increasingly louder. The filters were kept clean, the belt replaced as needed and the dust bin emptied after each use.

We contacted Bissell in early January 2009 and were told to take it to the closest authorized Bissell repair shop for inspection.

Several days later the technician informed us the extremely loud noise is not normal; is caused by the motor failing, cannot be repaired so therefore must be replaced.

Later that week we picked up the brand new, unopened, in the sealed box, replacement vacuum only to discover the plastic housing that secures the belt and brush was broken into three pieces within the box. A shipping issue?

Good value for the money
I wanted a second vacuum to keep upstairs and for use on carpets. I found this one for about $99.00. I read the reviews for the Bissell 3910, and although this isn't the same, it is very similar.

I was amazed at how much pet hair and dust this vacuum collected after I had already vacuumed with my canister vac. I think it does a really good job. I also like the 35-foot cord, which means I can plug it into one outlet for the entire upstairs. I wanted a bagless, because the cost of bags would be a lot given how much dog hair I have to deal with. The container is easy to remove and clean.

You have to be careful with things like curtains, bedspreads, and such that may be in contact with the floor, because its suction is powerful. It is also a bit loud for my liking, but not horrible.

I have not tried it on bare floors, so I can't give an opinion about that. I would recommend this vacuum for anyone who likes a good value.

Finally a solution me and my pets can live with!!
With two large dogs living in the house, we have furry everything! Furniture, clothing, TV, you get the picture. Because we live in South Florida, it is a chore to take the dogs outside to brush them, it's hot for them and for us. Brushing them in the house left fur flying everywhere.

I ordered the Bissell Shed Away with alot of skepticism. Even if the product worked, I worried my pups wouldn't let me near them. They are both afraid of the vacuum already. However, I bought a small canister vacuum (Eureka Ready Force Eureka ReadyForce Bagged Canister Vacuum, 900A)that allows me to adjust the suction to minimum at the same time I bought the Shed Away.

This really works!
black lab = lots of shedding. This tool is amazing. My dog loves it when I use this on her. Unlike other tools I have tried, this doesn't tug on the fur. It is not painful to her. I was amazed at the amount of fur I had in my vacuum when finished. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that has a shedding dog.

Great Vaccum with cool upholstery
My 3 year old dirtdevil Vacuum cleaner gave up and I headed to the research room on Amazon to consider a replacement. After extensive research I zeroed in on this and Hoover 5507-900. Hoover was more expensive and did not have the tools and upholstery available on this Vacuum. I still had my doubts on Bissell hence I headed to Target to check the Vacuum myself. I was impressed with what I saw and I ordered this on Amazon.

Out of the box this Vacuum was very easy to assemble and quite user friendly. The motor was very powerful and it cleaned the dirt from the carpet with ease. It also had adjustable knob for power variation and had one for bare-floor surfaces. The dirt container was very easy to replace and the extra dusting brush with extension wand made hard to reach places very easy to clean. Whats more this vacuum worked like charm on my Vacuum storage bags. It removed the air out of the bag in 30 seconds flat.

I would definitely recommend this Vacuum cleaner...

It passed the Black Sofa Test
The vacuum just came in. I took it out of the box, and it took all of two minutes to assemble. I ran it over the rugs of my two-bedroom apartment and it picked up everything in its path. I noticed the tank needed to be dumped more than my Hoover Wind Tunnel, but it's a good trade-off, because once the bottom of the Wind Tunnel's tank got full, it just gave up.
What I was really looking to give it--being a pet owner--was the extreme test on my black, cloth, sofa. Unlike other vacuum's that come with a nozzle surrounded by brushes that just seem to push the pet hair around, this comes with a turbo brush, which is like a mini version of the vacuum's main turbo brush. It cleaned off the sofa in minutes and left it spotless.
I know it's new, so as to how it wears, I can't tell you. But, I normally can tell within a few minutes whether I've spent well, or spent bad.
I would say this was money well spent.
Decent value
I wanted a second cleaner so that I wouldn't have to lug a machine between floors. This fits the bill as an upright and performs well. The vacuum hose is so short that it's a joke. I tried to use the attachments once and its a waste of time. In addition, dirt was exhausted from the storage port for the hose. Unbelieveable! The handle is nothing but a cheap piece of molded plastic. The electical cord is attached to the middle of the machine, as is the on/off switch. This results in a lot of stooping to turn the cleaner on or off and you must hold the cord, else you will step on it.
The vacuum has 3 filters, two of which can be cleaned with soap and water. After a month the HEPA filter shows no accumulation and will not need replacement for a long time. The filtering system is efficient - there is no evidence that any dirt is returned to the room.
Since everything that is sucked up is visible frequent emptying and filter cleaned is encouraged. A good thing. Bottom...
